The Werner family participated in Shatterproof 5K events in Boston and in DC (Reston, VA) this fall. These walks raise funds so that Shatterproof can continue and expand their important work, shattering the taboo around addiction as well as advocating for better and more treatment facilities for those with Substance Use Disorder.
In Boston, we had a team of 44, most of them Cross family members, and raised $16,500. In Washington, we had a team of close to 100 members and raised over $20,000. Both events were terrific, with moving speeches, beautiful scenery, and incredible fellowship among family and friends. See the team pictures from each event below.
